Subject: RE: Too many Christmas gifts

I've never been really good at Christmas lists, at least since I started working and earning my own money. If there was something I wanted, and I could justify buying it, I just went out and got it myself. My mom and siblings are pretty much the same. So, several years ago we decided to just do charity stuff for gifts and just get together and eat and have a fun family time. No pressure to spend money you don't have.

Mom & I both do Samaritan's Purse shoeboxes for our gifts. It's fun to go shopping for kids that probably don't have anything. We include a letter with our address and one of the families actually wrote back to us one year. I think something like this would be good for the older kids to do.
