I used to really look forward to Christmas because of the whole season and family but I have turned in to a Scrooge like others. My sisters and my wifes sisters have ruined it for me with their constant whining and pissing match competitions. My wife and I agree that it is getting to be too much and people are losing sight of the reason for it all and focus on the materialistic side of it all. We try to get our kids a couple things that they want but are practical and useful like some clothes that they wouldn't normally get. Now I show up, eat, have a few beers and get the hell out of there as quick as I can. It has kind of strained some of the family relations the rest of the year because of the way they are at Christmas.
