NEIN | Actually the guy with the eight row will get more done in the same amount of time as the one with a smaller head because the one with the wider header will make less trips around the field making him much more efficient. Run the eight row, go slow and do a perfect job with fewer passes and less wear on the drive train. Combine capacity is always determined by its ability to thresh grain not the size of the header. For a 1660 that is somewhere around 1000 bushels of dry corn an hour. The only draw back would be grain tank size if he doesn't have a grain cart. | |
