Texas/New Mexico Stateline | REALLY appreciate all the real life experiences guys. Taking it all into consideration. Swamped with work right now, but we are probably going to have to look into something diagnostic soon if things don't get better.
Pretty sure vision is not a problem as she can spot details and the makes of cars and such a mile away. Hyperactivity is not a problem either it seems.
It it something to do with FOCUS. She'll read the words and just totally ignore what the questions are asking. And just guessing on test answers it looks like. Because a simple question asking about rounding a number, with the number on a scale she'll just miss. 100-200-221-300-400-500
What would be a close estimate of 221 to the hundreds place? A)About 100 B)About 300 C)About 500 D)About 200
She'll put "A"
Another clue is we can prompt her several times during a church service to concentrate on the topic that is being discussed. Even have her try and write down a sentence or two about the subject. And with the title and topic at the top of the overhead slide for every slide for 20 minutes, afterwards cannot tell us what the subject matter was.
FOCUS
First thing is to ask the teacher at the end of this six weeks period how much trouble the other kids are having. Might give some insight.
