Subject: fiber ethernet switch

C IL

I guess I was searching the wrong terminology.  Looks like it is called a 'fiber ethernet switch'.
http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-SG300-10-10-port-Gigabit-SRW2008-K9-NA/dp/B0041ORN6U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-2&keywords=cisco+fiber+ethernet+switch

I guess a mini-GBIC port must be a way to connect to the fiber line.

Still researching.    Managed switches are expensive!
