Wireless would be much cheaper and easier, and I'm tempted to say, more reliable, if you can get line of sight.

They are amazing. They are POE so the power goes out to them via the CAT 5. A couple of set ups have been working flawlessly for 4 years now. In fact the one that goes over to my folk's house has a few trees that have grown into the line of sight and it is still working great. That is about a 600 yd haul through some trees!, amazing.
