N.W. Illinois | X3 Anyone remember Pioneer's 3732 from the 1980's. Early stress,especially cool temps. and the 3732 turned more purple then a tailgating Minnesota Viking fan. It looked terrible but always grew out of it and it was our best corn for a number of years.
I will add that you should be more concerned with the uneven emergence of the corn. It looks like some of the corn is 7-10 days later coming up then other corn next to it. With your low planting population it might not hurt your yield as much. The late emerging corn plants here in the U.S. cornbelt would produce a ear significantly smaller. if they produced a ear at all. The late emerging plants are usually considered a weed.
