| I've heard the 84% statistic before...
Not to get off-track but I find the discrepancy between Iowa and Illinois farmers and farmland interesting. Here is the link to a similar survey for Illinois.

My interpretation of these stats is an average Iowa farming entity owns about 40% of the land involved in their operations but an average Illinois farming entity owns about 20% of the land involved in their operation.
In my opinion that's quite a contrast, and I'm curious if anyone has any ideas as to why? | |
