Nw Iowa | Dad always said the more educated we get, the dumber we get. A lot of people making well into 6 figures, living month to month. Sometimes I wonder about farmers too, so busy worrying about taxes, they forget about liquidity. As I get older, it saddens me when I see young people make such poor choices, when just a extra few dollars a month in a stock market fund or even just in savings to make a meaningful life changing purchase that could change their life is squandered for the now. Sometimes I see a young family driving a car with a fancy name on the front who feel more important, but know the loan is under water most of the time. Our society, especially in this country puts so much importance of having a certain brand of something to feel important, at what ever the cost. Sites like Facebook just make it worse. | |
