Everyone here does cover with fall tillage that has very sandy fields. Helps try and hold some OM and also keeps it from blowing all winter.
A few ways they do it but the typical is spread rye w/ dry spreader and then do their tillage. That's all it gets until spring when it's either sprayed or tilled again depending on how aggressive the fall tillage was. Looks really good all fall/winter/spring honestly
