The cover crop will help with a lot of issues, as stated, give them time to grow and produce roots and they will find cracks in hard pan and work on breaking them up, as well as help scavenge for nutrients, help with erosion and some weed management as stated earlier.
I’m glad to hear you’re open to trying to practices- as said as well try a plot and see. Try for a few years for best results. Look at a company they have a % going to R&D why don’t more farms try new things to see what will maybe work on their acres and work best for them and see if their is a way to boost profitability or cut some inputs? | |
