True, about doing as many things as possible on the farm yourself.......but, you run out of time before you run out of places of “ I could do that myself”
It’s my own doing but even after all these years for me it just feels like I’m on the job 24/7/365. Always thinking “I should take care of that, add that to my list to get done”
There is no time clock to punch out and go home

This needs repeated. I need it burned into my brain. Cash flows look great when you do all the work yourself but you can’t do all the work yourself

So true , especially for livestock guys , like Mikado says its a 24/7/365 as even when you wake up in the night you think "i gotta do this, this, ect."
I am the 'old guy'here now but still worry....We did a de-pop-re-pop 3 yrs. ago and it was like heaven not worrying about power failure, feed, breakdown,ect...Honestly, few cash croppers realize it but they have the best job in the world

It’s become specialized to the point nobody wants to go outside there xyz.

New generation has zero clue.
I’m not saying I’m successful or wealthy.

I can say when your working for someone else your not getting the tax breaks and building equity.

Let’s say I’m the lowest man on the totum poll and full of crap.
But every purchase and every payment and if you can do it cheaper and more successful. You would be a fool not to try.

Tax free equity until sold.

I was laughed at for yrs and yrs..

Like I said I’m a idiot but I see where the $100000 planter skips.

Not for everyone

Delete or post hmmm
Ahhh I’m all greasy on a Sunday. Missed church.
If it involves work most won’t do it.
It’s easier “not to”.
