I really think it's high time to get the schools out of the sportsball business and return their focus to the education of their communities. Return to the days of sports leagues independent of the schools wouldn't harm anyone.
Highly agreed. Somehow there is never any money for updating books or funding a class, but hey, we have money for the football team.
The cringiest moment in wasteful spending when I was in school is when they went all the way to Dallas to buy a VanHool bus for the football team for 100k+ and it had a blown head gasket.
I'm sure a suburban load of farmers sent to Ritchie Bros in denver could've made a better purchase for half the cost. |
