A pig walking around in Canada has a lot more chance of finding an apple to eat, than a dairy cow finding a palm tree and turning it into oil...
Beyond the issue of butter tearing my bred apart nowadays trying to spread it, perhaps the consumer doesn't like what the palm industry represents and doesn't wish to support any part of it.
When you have a strangle hold on the industry via the quota system and try and garner sympathy from Canadian consumers by creating a major media storm to turn consumers against US milk by saying it has unwanted things in THAT milk... Then the backlash is to be expected when your consumer finds out you're feeding something into THEIR milk they aren't comfortable with. You want higher fat content, get some jerseys.
Ok NOW you and I can agree on this.....your problem is with the source.....the industry is looking for better alternatives and ways to improve the way its obtained. This is actually one of my wife's main job is to source palm fat. She is constantly looking for better alternatives.
If you think palm fat isn't used in the states....you are WRONG.
You seem like you have a huge grudge over the quota system.....
