Calhoun, McLean County, Ky | If wanting a quick, hour long, bourbon distillery trip/tour. Green River Distillery in Owensboro, Ky sits on the Ohio River and has a nice tour that is approx. an hour long and you also do a tasting. Green River sources all their corn from a 50 mile radius and gives away the distiller stillage for feed. One of their bourbons called Yellow Banks has a partnership with Ky Corn Growers Assoc and gives a percent back for research. About $15 each and can register online. Close proximity in downtown to the Bluegrass music museum, not sure if it is open currently. | |
