Subject: RE: Nitrogen Credit from Cover Crops

Germany, Cottbus

Interesting. Are there some informations out there what kind of clay they are working on? Neal Kinsey says that high basesaturation with calcium contributes to better
nitrogen-efficiancy. Any data of what the basesaturation in these trials has been? Calcium widens distance between clay-particles. So better flow of monovalent nutrients goes
for this. Maybe should be taken into account?
