Plant a quarter of an inch shallower in most cases especially into corn stalks. You get a more even stand and the stalks keep the ground fairly moist. You really don’t need anything’s special to no till soybeans. We’ve done it since 1990 with planters and drills that don’t have openers or trash wipers . Those things are needed for no till corn but not soybeans. A case planter is better in wet no till because of its lead blade opener. A John Deere is better in dry no till because it’s won’t throw dry dirt into the trench while closing. Both planters work equally well in normal conditions .
