ND | A "rule of thumb" though is (small explanation)
Nvidia:
The top of the line is the x80 series(ignore the x90s as what is in the triple digit range is old or out of stock)
The next is the x70 series
TI is the "improved" version for each generation.
They make their cards so the previous 80 series is roughly the same as the new 70 series: the 980TI is roughly the same as a 1070. It can be said the rest line up too: 970 roughly equals a 780, a 960 a 770, etc.
The 10 series...while they're ok for most office use, they suck for gaming unless you are coming from nothing.
For AMD(Formerly ATI):
Forget it unless it's the currently sold out generation, as they didn't really have much since the fury and were overpriced, power hogs that made somewhat disappointing results. | |
