You are so right on the expansion from 16K to 32K, assuming that all input factors were equal. But, there were other huge changes from 2006 to 2008 (or 09) in the rent structure & input costs. Those costs grew in huge amounts & it would take a few good crops to get back to "square 1". I'd guess the expansion could be overwhelming for many. Perhaps the principals of the article didn't give all the facts. I sure wouldn't have.
