Washington is crazy. Watching a couple miles up the road. A field has been in CRP since the beginning and separated out and sold. The remainder property a person owns along the road and had the access through that place to the field. That person will only allow 10 foot wide access and it's probably 1/2 mile winding along the canyon to get in there and overgrown. The one wants to tear out 30 plus year old grass and brush and trees to farm but can't get equipment in there on 10 feet. They fought in court and the one is still denied access in to farm his field after at least three years of fighting.

We have a similar situation of 2000 acre canyon to run cattle up to the mountains. We own all around it and they have a 20 foot wide access by about 200 feet long through our place to get in there from the lower end. They wanted to subdivide into recreational cabins but without at least a 40 foot wide easement it isn't happening. It is amazing the little 23 acre piece we bought years ago that creates this situation keeps from majorly affecting our way of farming prime ag land.

I went to the county tax auction and bought a few acres with an old outlaw biker cabin that has a prescriptive easement across one of our farm units to stop development of a weed grow on a landlocked parcel adjoining them.
