Turkey | Hello guys
Below u will see some pictures of my corn . In mu field there are some seed trials. As u see pictures some seeds have tip back causes or normal ear. I dont know. What is your opinion about it ? Is this tip back is ok ? Or over population ? Less fertilizer?
Theoric population is 37000 seeds/acre
Real population i guess around 34000
Center pivot irrigation 0,5” / day not stop irrigatensince planted
Planting date: 17 june
Polunation time 53 days after planting
Bottom fert : 350 kg/ha dap + 25 kg/ha starter 12.48
Top fert : 500 kg/ha urea , 40 kg/ha map, 40 kg/ha magnesium sulfate, 40 kg/ha potasium nitrate, 50 kg/ha zinc all top fert spoon feed via center pivot
Some seeds has more tip back , some has very little
Is this effect of genetic or my feeding is good or i made some mistakes?
All seeds are non gmo seeds
