Prairie Home MO | Neighbor has 40 acres of crp that is being released from the program and he wants to farm it at least for a few years. No trees or sprouts in it. It’s just grass and weeds. Would I be crazy to just burn it down this fall and no till beans into it in the spring? I did some two years ago that was baled and then burned down and it worked great but baling isn’t an option this time. I’m a little nervous at the thought of trying to get through that residue mat when it dies. Anybody else done what I’m talking about?
