We are planning our on-farm research program for 2021. Very interested in farmer input on things we should be working on. The goal of the program is enabling farmers to be more profitable.

In one town where I lived, they started a local farm research group. Their plan was to grow one of every variety, and then present how they all ranked. Some of the ag scientists a the meeting talked about replication and statistical analysis, but we were mostly met with smug grins. One of the highschool kids involved with the research group went on to get an ag degree, and soon after that the farm research program was discontinued. |
