C IL | My dad thinks pot roast with potatoes and carrots is the finest meal ever, I believe. Followed by apple pie for dessert.
Even with gravy I think it needs some bbq sauce or something to give it a little zing. It’s filling but pot roast doesn’t have near the flavor of a steak to me.
I think the leftovers make a pretty good stew warmed up over a biscuit with the gravy and bbq sauce to add some flavor.
Same thing with Beef Manhattan, a dry piece of meat with a salty gravy just doesn’t begin to approach something like prime rib. | |
