Wondering, if the US is so easy on crime, why is it proportionally, have a much higher incarceration rate than most other countries.
Possibly what’s not being considered with your view on that, is that there’s a good chance the guilties had more on their records than just one offense of theft. Where the theft occurred also plays a part as well as value of theft and whether other crime was committed during the theft. Was there bodily assault in said theft? It can get murky. But then again I’m no District Attorney and only occasionally stay at a Holday Inn. :) |
