Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | Yep, they can only write it up as "Joyriding" on the West Coast.
Had my pickup stolen with roughly $4000 of tools/damage, but local police (during their rounds) noticed "punched out locks" on the pickup's toolbox and decided to run the VIN and found my pickup 10 days later, sitting in the parking lot of the "Pink Poodle" motel. (No tools left, slide hammer on front seat with large screwdriver to turn broken ignition inside steering column) definitely signs of stolen vehicle.
