Around here all the LEO's will do about a property theft is take a report and tell you to call your insurance, even if you have the thieves on camera and they and their vehicle can be positively identified.
No money in it for the county to prosecute thieves, they only want to do it to druggies where they can confiscate their vehicles and sell them.
