You aren't going to do a very good job stripping and getting the seed into the combine if you don't have the cupped edge pointing forward.
Good morning Dean,
We had zero problems with it the way it is. We stopped and checked for head loss several times as we were unsure about this new to us type of head. Maybe in our wheat it works better than in different types of wheat? I am going to run a second one of these heads next year, so I think I will run with the cup up in one, and the other one with the cup down for a test!
I have also read that you can also stagger the cups, running both up and down on the same head.
