Southern Oregon | The bucket trick is the singular most important thing to know about moving pigs in my opinion. Redoak is right. It's the fact that a pig will back up with a bucket over it's head. We only found one exception with our pigs, so we kept the bucket over her head, turned her around and she barreled ahead at full speed onto the trailer instead of backing up onto it. The truckers hot shot didn't scare them off the truck, pig boards sorta kinda helped, manually wrestling them was a challenge, a few buckets made unloading actually feasible. | |
