SW WI
I always wonder “what I’m doing wrong” same here, gave up some rented land that to me, was just break even at best. Always someone else to give it a try. And we see it on this board, too. The last year several guys rebutted any talk about tough times with saying they had one of their best years ever. Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t....I don’t know their situation. But I do know life isn’t fair or equal ( although it seems like the powers that be are trying to make it that way) some will struggle and other won’t, or at least not as much.

I can only speak about my area....lot of concern about this next year. Some have crop insurance (revenue), Dairy has their program and it helps but guys are still saying more bills than income. And I know the way to fix it is cut, cut, cut your expenditures, a ship takes awhile to turn around. There are times that I worry, myself, if I’ve made enough cuts to to as frugal as I can.....and even if that’s enough to ride out times like these.

Nothing lasts forever......but sometimes it seems like it is forever.
