I would have tried that but I can’t seem to be able to just remove the coils without the valve guts coming out also. They are built a bit different than the style I’m used to. It might just be stuck from old age though. There is a plate screwed over the two coils that hold them on and things start leaking when I loosen up the screws. Also, there are 3 wires going behind the plate to the coils so I’m not sure how that works with two coils.

I can take it apart tomorrow anyways if I need to but I would like to make sure I’m on the right track before I mess with valves whose internals I know nothing about.
