Floyd County, Iowa
Correct me if I'm wrong.
My understanding is that people that are furloughed or laid off from their jobs because the business they worked for had to close, are eligible for unemployment benefits.
The businesses that closed and laid off their help would get financial help (with some restrictions and stipulations) to remain intact until some normalcy can return.
And the stimulus payments to citizens are to be spent to help keep the economy moving. Maybe slower than normal, but still moving.
I honestly thought this was the main intention of the Covid Bill, so if I'm wrong, tell me, please.
