I understand the frustration. But without the board how will you manage risk? Kinda hard to lay a million or two out on the hoof and put all your eggs in the 4 packer baskets. Abolishing the board won't help price discovery. Do most people know you can deliver against the board, you have to pay some freight and they have to kill to certain specs but it is a option to price market ready cattle.
It seems to me that the futures market on cattle should go away...
