Subject: RE: Cover crop termination timing for soybeans?

Pilot Grove, Missouri
I would no-till soybeans into that and kill it within a couple days of putting the beans in the ground. I drill almost all my beans into headed out cereal rye and terminate the rye after the drill. I see absolutely no benefit to working the ground before planting. The more residue you can leave on the soil surface, the better weed control you will get from the cover. Patrick
