Well, traditional to me is you start with dry beans, and season/bake and of course there needs to at least be a little meat for extra flavor. Yes, we like a sweeter recipe with a touch of molasses and a little "ting" of vinegarish in there.

Ive got some pinto's soaking tonight, will see how they turn out tomorrow.
