Subject: RE: Traditional type Baked Beans

Western-Central Lower Michigan
Pinto's turned out great. Have a family get together with our Grand Daughter (birthday) and her family.
The pinto's skin color turned the beans a little darker color, even though I rinsed them after boiling. I liked the darker color. Slightly granier texture, but not objectionable.
I used Brats cut in small chunks for meat and I liked the flavor it added. I may regret not making a BIGGER batch so I have some at home when I get back.\
