EC North Dakota | Didn't realize how many things I have done until I started thinking about your question. 30 yr volunteer fireman, Local civic and commerce club director, 8 years on local school board, one time County farm Bureau director, soybean growers assocation county rep, State soybean checkoff board director and chairman, Local cemetery secretary and treasurer (job that lasts as long as you will do it), 6 yfears as director of local coop elevator, 3 years as director of local oil coop, Township clerk/ treasurer, raised three kids here on the farm and community. Wife is very involved with Kogudus (prison minestry), teaches confirmation, did 20 years of EMT and ambulance volunteering with two local ambulance squads.
Yes at times it was hetic but a great learning experience on each and every one. Wish new residents would take part in some of these activities, don't seem to care as long as someone comes when they call 911. | |
