Chilliwack BC | I am secretary/treasurer of the Chilliwack Plowing Society. My brother is president of that as well as the BC Plowing Association. We have our match in the first week of April and look after lots of the organizing, fundraising and setup. We try to get new juniors involved, so borrow tractors and help set up the tires and 3-point until they can compete and hopefully get started on their own. Equipment dealers are good about lending out any tractors on their lot for events such as this. We have to send invite letters out to Mayors for their class, and are having a horse shoeing demonstration this year as well. Lots of little details to look after. I breathe a sigh of relief when its over for the year. | |
