Yeah. One thing I'll add is that the longer season hybrids are bred with more heat tolerance. I was talking about changing to shorter season corn with the agronomist from my organic seed supplier. She noted that I had plenty of GDU to get an 82 day hybrid to maturity and that it yields at the lower end of my "acceptable" yield range when planted in its adapted area. She said it'd likely do great if we have a cool summer, but it'd be a disaster if we had a normal one.



I think she hit the nail on the head.
