Mount Vernon, WA | Basically what it means is that the two NOx sensors on either side of the SCR unit are not giving rational readings. The outlet side should always be showing the same or less PPM (parts per million) than the inlet side, even if the DEF system is not injecting fluid. If the outlet sensor is "stuck high", and the inlet is reading below that number, you'll get the code that you have.
I suspect that it'll eventually derate the engine and bring the machine to its knees, but the display should warn you long before that happens. | |
