I agree that having a job away from the farm even just for a year or two can give someone a better perspective how much of the world operates. Obviously everyone has different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to two people working together, so I won't get into specific advice on that front. I will say, no matter the plan, all parties need to sit down and WRITE IT OUT.
