Near-north Ontario, French River | I think part of the issue is that some guys think they want to farm, because that's all they have ever done until that point in their life. I'm not suggesting a parent should force their kids to leave the farm, at least temporarily , but I think its wise to encourage them to look at the other things that the world has to offer. Too often older generations put pressure on the younger ones, even when they don't realize they are doing it, and the younger generation almost feels obligated to stay on the farm ,. |
