Mid Michigan | My cousin lost my trailer doing 60 on the freeway and was lucky it didn't hit anybody after he dropped off a utility tractor 5 minutes before. He hadn't tightened the ball and it came off and the dummy had the safety chains around the ball. Brilliant! A friend of ours came over last week to borrow a Bobcat with a backhoe trailer pulled with a Chevy Duramax. The factory hitch was so cheap on that truck and rusted out it was almost ready to break. We made him go home and order a new class 5 hitch and put it on and come back. When he took the hitch off he said it was way worse than it even looked. I wasn't even sure if the frame was strong enough on that thing after looking at the rust. I don't know how Chevy gets away with putting such a cheap hitch on a diesel pickup. We need vehicle inspections in michigan and a bunch of them need to be red tagged without question or debate. | |
