EC IA | To bale 80-90 hay bales and 20 cornstalk bales a year you dont need much of a baler imo. A pretty worn put baler will do that easy. As long as the belts look decent , no bearings are currently out and the chains arent seized up it will work. I know I've limped by baler through the last 200 cornstalk bales in late November with it in tough shape and then rebuilt it that winter. I would try to find a 566 or 567 jd or a 605xl or 605 k or l. Find one that runs but maybe a little rough and slowly fix it up. Netwrap on most older balers are the worst part. As for a mower start with a older 9 ft sickle machine. Any brand you can get parts for are easy enough to work on and dont take much power to run. Just my opinion of how to start small in hay business. Thats how i started 20 years ago. | |
