Chilliwack, British Columbia | I have no idea of your area at all. I have a buddy in the same boat as you. He has found some decent deals on machinery to do his own, when it needs to get done. He is pretty handy on repairs and maintenance, so buying stuff that needs work now and again is not really a problem, other than the fact it can shut you down during a crop.
I'm assuming not too many acres with that amount of bales. You could easily buy bigger older stuff, and not have much time in it. Buddy just bought a 12' Hesston discbine for his 30 or whatever acres, won't take him long to knock it off 3x/year. Baler might be a more of a crapshoot, I don't know round balers at all.
Good luck,
Glenn |
