Callao Missouri | Sounds like a lot of work to put in a crop that is only worth $3.5 and $9.00. If I have to turn the lights on on my planting tractor, the circumstances must be pretty critical. I would rather plant an extra week in the daylight, do a good job and most importantly do it myself than fool around all day and night to be the first one done. I will also probably do something non Ag Talk approved. I may un hook the planter last week of may, first week of june depending upon the forecast and put up the hay crop for the cows. Get that crop harvested timely for best feed value, and optimal re growth of forage. The cows are making money so the soybeaners can wait. Jon | |
