South Central Iowa | Well, no one chooses to get old and lose the ability to do the things he once could do....
Age and percentage of land and equipment sold are the best predictors of whether it is a financial or age related retirement. There are no sources for such information though, it’s speculation. Some people just want to quit struggling with the debt and if they sell half their things, the other half still gives them a very good living. Why have $600K in NOI every year only to have $50K remaining after interst, tax, and debt, IF you have a good crop, when you could have $400K in NOI, and $250K remaining to invest in cash land and outside investments, or just enjoy? | |
