The business we have been fortunate and blessed to operate allows me live the lifestyle I choose and raise my children from my perspective as good and productive. I'm an educated man with opportunities far reaching anything the farm could ever offer. But at this point im content to bang away a comfortable living, even through all the farm challenges. When farming is bountiful everyone thinks they want a piece of it. When farming suffers, people are very fast to focus, point and dwell on those challenges with negative perspectives. Although Ive made a choice to not allow the farm to be my identity, as I have a plethora of interests beyond this, I have made a choice to hunker down and enjoy the ride...
