It depends on your parent soil structure and your o.m. Also pH and cec will influence what can be plant available. So with knowledge of your current soil test amounts, soil chemistry and placing pk in a band where a vast majority if your roots can take up pk, what you apply more available to the plant and less likely to be tied up. So its matching proper placement of applied pk with your soils natural abilty to mineralize and hold available forms. In some cases it is possible to apply less than removal and not be mining your soil.
