Earlville, NY | Ugh, hate inspections. The inconsistency drives me nuts. Our co-op inspector has been out to review us, every damn year there's something new. Apparently the place I've stored milk filters for 14 years is now inadequate. The normal polishing of the stainless we do every month isnt enough this time. Once, our previous rep told us every waterer on the farm needed a special valve that ran 100 bucks each; turned out he was wrong. Another time he bitched up and down at the plastic fitting on the tank wash recirculation hose, supposed to be stainless. He didn't believe me when I told him it'd been on there for years...and on and on. Really ticks you off when you see some of the crap-hole farms that are out there still shipping milk. We get the high quality awards every year, never shipped a bad load, and still feel like we're never good enough for them. | |
